How To Make sweet italian sausage and mushroom spaghetti
-
Step 1Bring a pot of water to a boil and add your spaghetti for the allotted time on the box. While the water is heating to a boil and then the spaghetti is cooking, make the sauce as follows.
-
Step 2In a medium sauce pan, fry the Sweet Italian sausage on medium heat until cooked. Set aside (juices and all) in a small bowl.
-
Step 3Warm the olive oil in the same pan on medium heat and then add the mushrooms, thinly sliced onions, salt and pepper. Cook until the mushrooms are browned.
-
Step 4Add the tomato paste, black olives, garlic, chopped rosemary, and annice seed to the pan and cook for 3 minutes longer while stirring.
-
Step 5Return the sweet Italian sausage to the pan and mix well.
-
Step 6Add the water and the heavy cream to the pan. Bring to a simmer, and gently simmer for 5-10 minutes until thickened. Slowly add a small amount of sugar or sugar packets to taste.
-
Step 7Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss it in the sauce. Serve with shredded parmesan on top.
