I'm happy to have found this site!

This recipe is the most silky and delicious marinara sauce I have tried. And super easy with only four ingredients. It's made with a stick of butter, what's not to love?

Ingredients

2 - 28 oz can(s)
whole peeled tomatoes
1 stick
unsalted butter
2 med
onions, cut in half
1 1/2 tsp
salt (more to taste)

How to Make Super Silky Marinara Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Reserve the juice from the cans of tomatoes. Chop the tomatoes and place in a food processor. Pulse. Texture should be even, but not completely smooth.
  • 2Combine tomatoes, reserved juice, butter, onions and salt in large wide pot.
  • 3Bring to simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer on low-med heat for 45 mins, stirring occasionally.
  • 4Discard Onions.
  • 5Taste sauce and add additional salt as desired.
