Super Silky Marinara Sauce

Foodie Mama

I'm happy to have found this site!

This recipe is the most silky and delicious marinara sauce I have tried. And super easy with only four ingredients. It's made with a stick of butter, what's not to love?

I team this sauce with Foodie Mama's Melt in Your Mouth Meatballs.

I have a food, wine and travel blog located at

I'll be posting some of my favorite recipes on here on Just a Pinch!

whole peeled tomatoes
1 stick
unsalted butter

1Reserve the juice from the cans of tomatoes. Chop the tomatoes and place in a food processor. Pulse. Texture should be even, but not completely smooth.
2Combine tomatoes, reserved juice, butter, onions and salt in large wide pot.
3Bring to simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer on low-med heat for 45 mins, stirring occasionally.
4Discard Onions.
