I start this sauce and then put on the water for the pasta. By the time the pasta is ready the sauce is too.

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 15 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 28 oz
    diced tomatos
  • 1 small
    zucchini
  • 1 small
    yellow squash
  • 1 medium
    green bell pepper
  • 8 oz
    mushrooms, fresh
  • 1-3 tsp
    tuscany blend sundried tomato and basil spice blend (to taste)

How to Make Summer Vegetable Pasta Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, then saute the red pepper flakes, onion, and garlic briefly.
  2. Add the other ingredients and simmer until the vegetables are tender and the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
