My variation of a Hunts recipe, posting to put together a cookbook.

Ingredients

  • PASTA STUFFING
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces chopped mushrooms
  • 6 ounces chopped black olives
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces dry, uncooked manicotti
  • TOPPING
  • 12 ounces pasta sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • OTHER
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 ounces pasta sauce

How To Make stuffed manicotti

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375.
  • Step 2
    Pour 12 oz. of pasta sauce into bottom of greased baking sheet. FILLING: Stir together filling ingredients. Stuff each uncooked pasta shell.
  • Step 3
    Arrange stuffed pasta in a single layer in baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over the top.
  • Step 4
    Pour water into dish at one corner. Top with remaining cheese. Cover tightly with foil.
  • Step 5
    Bake 1 hour 15 minutes. Allow dish to stand covered for 10 minutes before serving.
