My kids love pasta, and this is a quick, easy dish I throw together when pinched for time..I have used ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese..it works well with both.. I have also replaced the beef for chicken..

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup green or red bell pepper, chopped..or have used jalapeno's
  • 1 - (15.5 ounces) spaghetti sauce..i use my homemade..any will do
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cottage cheese, or ricotta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

How To Make string pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degree Cook beef , onion, and peppers in large skillet over med - high heat until meat is brown, stirring to separate meat. Drain fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Combine spaghetti, parmesan cheese, eggs and butter in a large bowl; mix well. Place in bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread cottage cheese over top; pour meat sauce over cottage cheese; spread evenly; sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through and desired browness..
