Ingredients

  • 2 c
    egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 lb
    top sirloin, cut 3/4 inch pieces
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    finely chopped shallots
  • 1-8 oz
    pre-sliced babybella mushrooms
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 11/2 c
    fat free, low sodium beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 sprig(s)
    thyme

How to Make Steak Tips with Peppered Mushroom Gravy

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook noodles according to package, omitting salt and fat, drain. Heat in a large nonstick skillet over med-high heat coat pan with cooking spray, add steak and saute 5 minutes browning on all sides, remove from pan and cover.
  2. Melt butter in pan add shallots and mushroom and saute about 4 minutes add garlic and soy sauce and stir in flour allow to brown about 1 minute. Gradually add broth stirring constantly. Add pepper, salt, thyme sprigs. Bring to boil; cook 2 minutes or until thickened, return beef to pan cook until thoroughly, remove and discard the thyme sprigs.
  3. Serving Size: 3/4 cup beef, 2/3 cup noodles
    344 Calories per serving.
