Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
- 1 pound top sirloin, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallots
- 8 ounces pre-sliced baby portobello mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups fat-free, low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 sprigs thyme
How To Make steak tips with peppered mushroom gravy

Step 1Cook the egg noodles according to the package, omitting salt and fat; drain.

Step 2Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the pan with cooking spray. Add the steak and saute for 5 minutes, browning on all sides. Remove the steak from the pan and cover to keep warm.

Step 3Melt the butter in the pan. Add the shallots and the mushrooms and saute for about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and soy sauce. Stir in the flour and allow to brown about 1 minute. Gradually add the broth, stirring constantly. Add the pepper, salt, and thyme sprigs. Bring to boil; cook 2 minutes or until thickened.

Step 4Return the beef to pan to cook thoroughly. Remove and discard the thyme sprigs.
