"adopted recipe" - haven't tried it yet. but i already see i'm gonna use fresh spinach.

macaroni, large shells
1 small
onion, chopped
10 oz
spinach, chopped, frozen
1 Tbsp
chicken bouillon granules
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/3 tsp
dried thyme
1.5 c
ricotta cheese
1 c
cottage cheese
48 oz
spaghetti sauce
8 oz
mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make Spinach Stuffed Shells


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Cook spinach as directed on package; drain well.
  • 3Cook shells as directed; drain, cool.
  • 4In a large bowl, mix chopped onion, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, thyme, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and cooked spinach.
  • 5Using your hands and a large spoon, stuff shells with the mixture, and lay in rows in a 13" x 9" baking pan.
  • 6Spread spaghetti sauce over the shells in the pan.
  • 7Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  • 8Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes, until warm in the center, and mozzarella cheese has melted.
