Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    macaroni, large shells
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 10 oz
    spinach, chopped, frozen
  • 1 Tbsp
    chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/3 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1.5 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 1 c
    cottage cheese
  • 2
    eggs
  • 48 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz
    mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make Spinach Stuffed Shells

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook spinach as directed on package; drain well.
  3. Cook shells as directed; drain, cool.
  4. In a large bowl, mix chopped onion, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, thyme, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and cooked spinach.
  5. Using your hands and a large spoon, stuff shells with the mixture, and lay in rows in a 13" x 9" baking pan.
  6. Spread spaghetti sauce over the shells in the pan.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes, until warm in the center, and mozzarella cheese has melted.
