spinach stuffed shells

"adopted recipe" - haven't tried it yet. but i already see i'm gonna use fresh spinach.

Ingredients For spinach stuffed shells

  • 1 pkg
    macaroni, large shells
  • 48 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    cottage cheese
  • 1.5 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    chicken bouillon granules
  • 10 oz
    spinach, chopped, frozen
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 8 oz
    mozzarella cheese, shredded

How To Make spinach stuffed shells

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Cook spinach as directed on package; drain well.
  • 3
    Cook shells as directed; drain, cool.
  • 4
    In a large bowl, mix chopped onion, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, thyme, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and cooked spinach.

    Using your hands and a large spoon, stuff shells with the mixture, and lay in rows in a 13\" x 9\" baking pan.

    Spread spaghetti sauce over the shells in the pan.

    Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes, until warm in the center, and mozzarella cheese has melted.
