This is a very good baked spaghetti recipe. If you don't like spicy you can leave out. You can add any spice you like. Try it with Italian seasoning. I serve with garlic bread sprinkled with parmesan cheese in the green shaker from Kraft. So good!!

Ingredients

  • - 12 oz. package spaghetti
  • - 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • - 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • - 1 medium onion, chopped
  • - 14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • - 1 teaspoon salt
  • - 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • - 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make spicy baked spaghetti

  • Step 1
    Cook spaghetti per package directions. In a large skillet, cook beef, green pepper and onion until done. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce and brown sugar; stir. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese, and stir. Drain spaghetti and add.
  • Step 2
    Transfer to a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Cover and bake 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
