How To Make spaghetti with spinach & crisp bacon
-
Step 1For the sauce, add tomatoes (drained - sauce reserved) breaking the tomatoes into bite-size pieces. In a saucepan, add tomatoes, bacon and garlic - simmer for approx. 8-10 minutes.
-
Step 2Cook pasta according to pkg. directions. Remove pot from heat and drain pasta well. Return pasta to the pot and add the the spinach. Cover and allow the spinach to wilt.
-
Step 3When spinach has wilted, add the tomato sauce to the pasta/spinach mixture and toss gently to coat. If needed, use some of the reserved tomato juice. Add the romano cheese to the pasta and sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.
