Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 28 ounces can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon each dried basil and dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- fresh parsley and parmesan cheese
How To Make spaghetti with lamb bolognese

Step 1In a large skillet add the olive oil. Add the onions and a pinch of salt. Cook about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the lamb and cook until the lamb is no longer pink. Season the lamb while cooking with a little salt and pepper.

Step 2Add the wine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and add the tomatoes, tomato paste, lemon juice, basil, oregano, sugar and bay leaf. Simmer gently for about 30 minutes.

Step 3After the sauce has simmered about 10 minutes. Place a pot of salted water on the stove and bring to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook 15 minutes.

Step 4Add 1/2 cup of pasta water to sauce and stir. With tongs pull the spaghetti out of the water and toss into the sauce. Once most of the spaghetti is in the sauce drain the remaining and add to the pan. Cook the spaghetti about 5 more minutes in the sauce

Step 5Taste and adjust for salt and pepper. Serve garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese.
