Ingredients For spaghetti with garlic tomato sauce and crunch

  • 1 lb
    spaghetti
  • salt and pepper
  • GARLIC TOMATO SAUCE
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 can
    crushed tomatoes (28 oz each)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch
    granulated sugar
  • CRUNCH
  • 1 c
    Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2
    anchovies, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil

How To Make spaghetti with garlic tomato sauce and crunch

    Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water for 10 minutes and drain. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

    For the sauce, place oil in a large saucepan. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

    Add the cans of crushed tomatoes and the reserved pasta sauce. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 10 minutes.

    Add the spaghetti to the sauce and cook for 5 more minutes.

    In a small saucepan place the Panko, cheese, and anchovies over low heat. Add the oil and cook until browned. Serve over the spaghetti.
