spaghetti with beef sauce

I loved this spaghetti I ate at a really nice resturant in San Francisco years ago. It did not have a tomato sauce as most do, it was more of a beef sauce like this one has. I came across this one on a site called efoodi by Olympia. I am not a fan of spaghetti with a lot of tomatoes for some odd reason, but I do like a little. I made this and love how different this is and it tastes really good. Beef flavored which is what I wanted. I still make my regular spaghetti but I like to change it up with this one. Really very good. I do double the sauce on this. pictures are mine

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 7 tablespoons olive oil
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 pound very thin spaghetti, cooked
  • - grated parmesan cheese

How To Make spaghetti with beef sauce

  • Step 1
    Place olive oil in a cooking pot (about 9 inch) and heat up - Add ground beef and stir vigorously - Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring - Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon, stir - Add tomato paste diluted in water. - Cook on high for 10 minutes - Then, turn down to medium-low and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until water has evaporated. - Mix well with cooked spaghetti. - Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
