I just saw Linda Lanpher's recipe with the same name. I figured they were different enough that I would post mine too.

ground beef
1 lb
italian sausage, crumbled
1/2 c
onion, chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
15 oz
tomato sauce
6 oz
tomato paste
1 tsp
dried basil
1 tsp
dried oregano
6 oz
thin spaghetti
1/4 c
1/2 c
parmesan cheese, grated
1 large
egg, beaten
1 c
ricotta cheese
1 c
mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make Spaghetti Pie


  • 1In a skillet, over medium heat, saute beef, sausage, onion and garlic until the meat is cooked. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil and oregano. Simmer 30 minutes.
  • 2Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and chop into pieces. Combine with butter, parmesan and egg and press into the bottom of a 12" pie pan. Spread with ricotta, then meat sauce. Top with mozzarella. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
