spaghetti and meat sauce w/italian sausage & peas and carrots

This spaghetti recipe is something that I started cooking for my family over 15 years ago and they really enjoy it. Now this is the only way that they will eat it. Hope your family will enjoy meal as we do too.

Ingredients

  • 1lb - ground beef
  • 8 - sweet italian sausages (links)
  • 1-2 cup chopped onion
  • 1-2 cup green peppers
  • 1-2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1-2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1-2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoon itialian season
  • 1-2 teaspoon season all
  • 1-2 cup sugar
  • 1-2 cup water
  • 2 (26 oz) cans hunts garlic & herb pasta sauce
  • 2 (6 oz) cans contadina italian herb tomato paste
  • 1 (16 oz) package frozon peas & carrots
  • 1 lb box spaghetti
  • 1 box peppeidge farm texas toast galic (8 slices)

How To Make spaghetti and meat sauce w/italian sausage & peas and carrots

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and italian sausage (remove skin) – cook until browned; drain.
  • Step 2
    Add onions and green peppers cook until tender.
  • Step 3
    Next add seasons, mix in well and let simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add in tomato paste and pasta sauce. Let simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add peas & carrots and water. Let simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until the vegetables are done. If your sauce is too thick, just add in more water to thin the sauce.
  • Step 6
    When the meat sauce is to your desire thickness remove from heat.
  • Step 7
    Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  • Step 8
    Bake the Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast according to package.
  • Step 9
    When the spaghetti is finish sprinkle with italian season. Serve pasta w/meat sauce, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy with the Garlic Texas Toast.
