spaghetti alla carbonara

This is the easiest recipe I've found for this dish. It does not call for vegetables like most carbonara recipes, but they could be added if desired.

Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 8 - bacon strips, cut in 1/4 inch pieces
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup half & half
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup grated mozzarella or parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons soft margarine
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
How To Make spaghetti alla carbonara

Step 1Cook spaghetti according to directions. Meanwhile, fry bacon until crisp. Drain all but 1 Tbsp fat. Add pepper and half & half - keep warm in skillet.

Step 2Mix eggs with cheese in small bowl.

Step 3When spaghetti is tender, drain well. Transfer to medium serving bowl and mix with butter.

Step 4Toss with bacon mixture, then with egg mixture and parsley.

Step 5Serve immediately with additional pepper and cheese, if desired.
