onion -- chopped

bell pepper -- chopped

mushrooms -- drained

ragu spaghetti sauce
1 c
tomato juice
1 lb
ground chuck
1 lb
ground sausage
1 medium
bag of elbow noodles

How to Make Southern Goulash


  • 1Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions.
  • 2Saute the hamburger meat/saugage, onion, bell pepper, garlic, mushrooms in a skillet until the meat is brown.
  • 3Drain the fat off. Add Ragu and Rotel to the meat. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 min.
  • 4In a large pot, combine the noodles & meat mixture. Allow this to simmer for about 20 minutes. You may need a cup of tomato juice if it's too dry.
