Southern Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion -- chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper -- chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic -- minced
  • 2 (4 oz) cans mushrooms -- drained
  • 1 can rotel
  • 1 jar ragu spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 medium bag of elbow noodles

How To Make southern goulash

  • Step 1
    Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Step 2
    Saute the hamburger meat/saugage, onion, bell pepper, garlic, mushrooms in a skillet until the meat is brown.
  • Step 3
    Drain the fat off. Add Ragu and Rotel to the meat. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 min.
  • Step 4
    In a large pot, combine the noodles & meat mixture. Allow this to simmer for about 20 minutes. You may need a cup of tomato juice if it's too dry.
