    ground beef

    large yellow onion, chopped , 1-1/2 to 2 cups
  • 2 can(s)
    14-1/2 to 16oz each sloppy joe sauce
  • 3 c
    uncooked rotini
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 c
    shredded chedder cheese
  • ·
    sliced green onions, optional

How to Make SLOPPY JOE BAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. HEAT OVEN TO 350F. HEAT LARGE NONSTICK SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL HOT. ADD GROUND BEEF AND YELLOW ONION; COOK 8 TO 10 MIN., BREAKING INTO 3/4-INCH CRUMBLES AND STIRRING OCCASIONALLY POUR OFF DRIPPINGS. STRING IN SLOPPY JOE SAUCE, ROTINI AND WATER.
  2. SPRAY 13 X 9-INCH GLASS BAKING DISH WITH NONSTICK COOKING SPRAY. SPOON BEEF MIXTURE INTO DISH; COVER WITH ALUMINUN FOIL. BAKE IN 350F OVEN 35 TO 40 MIN. OR UNTIL PASTA IS TENDER. UNCOVER; SPRINKLE WITH CHEESE. CONTINUE BAKING, UNCOVERED, 5 MINS. OR UNTILL CHEESE MELTED.
  3. LET STAND 5 MINS. BEEFORE SERVING. GARNISH WITH GREEN ONIONS, IF DESIRED.
