Ingredients
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 5 - 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup fresh italian parsley, chopped
- 1 can plum tomatoes in juice (28 oz)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 pound pasta of choice, cooked al dente
- Parmesan or Romano cheese, grated (optional)
How To Make shrimp scampi with tomatoes

Step 1In a large skillet, over medium-high heat. Melt butter and add olive oil.

Step 2To the hot skillet, add garlic, Mrs. Dash seasoning, and shrimp. Saute until shrimp is almost cooked through.

Step 3Add parsley and wine.

Step 4Take tomatoes out of the can and crush with your hands into the pan, using very little of the juice from the can.

Step 5Continue to cook until tomatoes are heated through.

Step 6Toss in the basil and serve over hot pasta. Top with Romano or Parmesan cheese if desired.
