This is a delicious pasta salad with shrimp and black olives that I have been making for over 30 years now and my family loves it , if you like shrimp you will love this salad too. My sister makes this as well but she likes to add celery and onions to hers. If you like crab this salad is delicious made that way too , just substitute the shrimp with the crab or imitation crab meat and add celery and onions. This salad is even better the next day when all the flavors have combined together...enjoy :D

Ingredients For shrimp macaroni salad

  • 4 c
    tiny sea shell macaroni
  • 4 to 5 can
    (4oz ea.) tiny shrimp (i used a mixture of tiny and medium)
  • 2 can
    (4.25oz ea.) chopped black olives
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • salt & pepper

How To Make shrimp macaroni salad

    In a large pan boil the pasta in salt water until tender.

    Drain and rinse with cold water to cool down the pasta.
  • 3
    In a large mixing bowl add the cool pasta , chopped black olives and 2 cans of shrimp with the juice and 2 to 3 cans with out the juice ; don't be afraid to break up the shrimp when you stir it up ; it spreads the shrimp out alot more and increases the flavor.

    Mix all the ingredients together

    Add the mayonnaise and salt & pepper to taste.

    Mix the mayonnaise in until it's fully combined with the ingredients ; cover and chill for several hours.
