Our family has enjoyed this light yummy dish for a long time. We live in Florida where shrimp is easily available. This recipe is easy to prepare. Prep time below includes the 1/2 hour to marinade the shrimp ahead of time. You can use any type of pasta, we prefer angel hair. Enjoy:)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    shrimp
  • 1/2 tsp
    Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 lb
    angle hair pasta
  • 1
    lemon, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 2
    chopped scallions
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    additonal Old Bay seasoning and buttter, if desired

How to Make Shrimp and Pasta - Connie's

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter and pour in a marinade bowl or plastic bag.
  2. Add shrimp, bay seasoning and garlic to the shrimp in the bag/bowl. Marinade 1/2 hour.
  3. Chop scallions and saute in olive oil until soft.
  4. Drain shrimp and discard marinade. Add shrimp to scallions and cook until the shrimp turn pink.
  5. Cook pasta as directed on the package. Drain pasta reserving a cup of pasta water.
  6. Add reserved pasta water to shrimp and scallions.
  7. Put drained pasta into shrimp and scallions. Add extra butter, bay seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Squeeze lemon juice over top and garnish with lemon slices and parsley flakes.
  9. Enjoy.
