This is my Mom Sharon's spaghetti sauce recipe. She was born in Brooklyn and lived on Long Island. She wrote this down for my wedding cookbook and I cherish it so. Use a large pot, it makes a lot. She would say "to give away to someone".

Ingredients For sharon's spaghetti sauce

28 ozcan of tomato puree preferably contadina

3-4 can6 oz tomato paste preferably contadina

3 canwater for each can of paste

1 Tbsporegano
-
3-4 clovechopped garlic
-
1onion chopped
-
1/2 cshredded parmesan
-
to tastesalt and pepper
-
2 lbgr. beef, sweet italian sausage or none for marinara

1bay leaf
How To Make sharon's spaghetti sauce

1Brown onions and meat being careful not to burn

2Then add all the remaining ingredients

3Simmer for a minimum of 2 hours
