This is one of my most "asked for" recipes. Please don't judge it before you have tried it. I often get asked to make this and bring to work, keeping my co-worker cops happy is important to me! Trust me.. after this.. you WILL be a believer in Sauerkraut!

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 28 ounces sauerkraut - drained
- 2 cups wide egg noodles - uncooked
- 1 can cream of celery soup - undiluted
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup - undiluted
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make sauerkraut hotdish

Step 1Brown the ground beef, onion, salt and pepper

Step 2Drain off any fat

Step 3using a 7x11 casserole pan, layer 1/2 of hamburger mixture

Step 4Cover with sauerkraut

Step 5top with remaining hamburger mixture

Step 6put UNCOOKED egg noodles over top layer

Step 7Spread undiluted soups on top of noodles - making sure you cover ALL noodles with soups or they will not cook and the edge noodles will be rock hard

Step 8Bake at 350 degrees covered for 30 minutes

Step 9Remove from oven, carefully sprinkle cheese over the top and return to oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes

Step 10I OFTEN double this recipe and make in a 9x13 glass casserole pan. Serve with Garlic Bread and a salad
