My family,even the Grandchidren like the Skillet Spaghetti better than regular com all day spaghetti. Try it you'll like it and it is very easy.

  • 1 lb
    groud beef
  • 3 c
  • 2 can(s)
    tomato paste (11- 1/4 oz each)
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried minced onion
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    chili powder (i use 1 t.)
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    sugar (i omit)
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 pkg
    7 oz dried spaghetti (i use wheat)
  • ·
    grated parmesan cheese ( fresh is best)

How to Make Sara's Skillet Spaghetti


  1. In a large skillet cook Ground beef. Drain.( I put in a sieve and run hot water over it to remove all the grease.)
  2. Add next 8 ingredients. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add uncooked pasta. Turn heat down.
  4. Cover and simmer or 30 min. Or until spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently.
  5. When done remove to a dish and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
