I made up this recipe when I wanted a really good meat sauce for pasta, but couldn't get to my favorite italian restaurant.

2 lb
lean ground beef or ground bison
4 clove
garlic, minced
10 oz
baby portebello mushrooms, sliced
3 Tbsp
olive oil
3 can(s)
crushed tomatoes (28 oz. each can)
1 can(s)
tomato paste (12 oz.)
1 c
1 tsp
sea salt
2 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp
crushed red pepper flakes
2 tsp
italian seasoning
1/8 tsp
celery salt
1 tsp
garlic salt
1/2 tsp
ground black pepper

How to Make Robin's Marvelous Meat Sauce for Pasta


  • 1Heat olive oil in a large pot (on medium high), brown the ground beef (drain off fat if necessary). Add the minced garlic and all other herbs & seasonings to the pot. Continue to cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • 2Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, and water & stir well. Turn the heat to low & simmer for about 1 hour. Stir as needed. Serve over your choice of pasta noodles.
