Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 16 ounces tomatoes, canned whole, drained and cut up
- 4 - garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 - bay leaf
- - oregano to taste
- - basil
- - marjoram
- dash worcestershire sauce
- dash pepper sauce or 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper to taste
- dash red wine
- - parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces mushrooms, halved
- 4 ounces macaroni, cooked
- 6 slices american cheese
- - chives, chopped
How To Make poor man's lasagna

Step 1Brown beef, onion and green pepper; drain.

Step 2Saute mushroom halves in separate pan and cook pasta al dente.

Step 3Add everything to the beef mixture but the last 3 ingredients.

Step 4Simmer to blend flavors for 1/2 hour.

Step 5Add macaroni to pot and stir.

Step 6Spoon into greased 1-1/2 quart casserole.

Step 7Top with cheese.

Step 8Bake at 375 until cheese is bubbly, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 9Sprinkle with chives and serve with garlic bread
