pizza mac - n - cheese
This is a kid pleasing recipe I found in my Betty Crocker top - rated recipes book.. It's Yummylicious!..hope you give it a try..

Ingredients
- 1 - ( 16 ounce ) uncooked macaroni
- 1 pound mild or spicy pork sausage
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped, i use red
- 1 large onion, chopped - 1 cup
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 20 slices pepperoni
How To Make pizza mac - n - cheese

Step 1Heat oven to 425 degree F. Spray 3 quart baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2Cook and drain macaroni as directed on package. In a nonstick 12 in skillet; cook sausage over med high heat until no longer pink; drain. In same skillet; cook pepper and onion for 5 minutes or until tender.

Step 3In a 4 quart saucepan, melt butter over med low heat. Stir in flour, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper flakes.

Step 4Cook and stir until smooth. Gradually add milk and water, stirring constantly until thickened. Gradually add Cheddar cheese; stir until melted.

Step 5Add macaroni, sausage and onion mixture; stir to coat. ( I pour it into a big bowl to mix it).

Step 6Pour into casserole. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.

Step 7Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly.

Step 8Top with Parmesan cheese, pepperoni and remaining 1 teaspoon of pepper flakes. Bake until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. ( You can add whatever you want to this dish..mushrooms, italian seasoning...I added garlic powder, onion powder and oregano to the meat..and a little parsley flakes).
