Ingredients
- 12 ounces penne pasta
- 5 - sweet italian sausage casings removed
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
- 4 ounces prosciutto chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1/3 cup sugar
- - parmesan cheese for topping
How To Make penne pasta with sausage and red sauce

Step 1Cook the pasta in boiling salted water and drain. Place prosciutto in a large skillet. Cook until browned. Add the sausage and cook until no longer pink. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Step 2Add the wine and scrap up the bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the tomatoes, and sugar. Simmer until thickened. About 15 minutes. Add the basil.

Step 3Serve over the pasta and top with cheese
