Penne Pasta with Sausage and Red Sauce
12 ozpenne pasta
5sweet italian sausage casings removed
6 clovegarlic minced
2 Tbspfresh basil chopped
4 ozprosciutto chopped
1 cchicken broth
28 ozcrushed tomatoes
·parmesan cheese for topping
How to Make Penne Pasta with Sausage and Red Sauce
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water and drain.
Place prosciutto in a large skillet. Cook until browned. Add the sausage and cook until no longer pink. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Add the wine and scrap up the bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the tomatoes, and sugar. Simmer until thickened. About 15 minutes. Add the basil.
- Serve over the pasta and top with cheese
