penne pasta cooked al dente


4 oz
priscuitto cut into strips
3 Tbsp
unsalted butter
small diced onion
4 Tbsp
parmesan or romano cheese
1 c
heavy cream or half n half
1/2 c
peas (thawed)
1 can(s)
italian plum tomatoes with basil
black pepper to taste

How to Make Penne Pasta with Priscuitto Sauce


  • 1Saute the priscuitto and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
  • 2Add the tomatoes and break them up with a spoon.
  • 3Add the peas, cream and pepper.
  • 4Cook until slightly thickened.
  • 5Add the grated cheese.
  • 6Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with more cheese before serving.
