  • 1 lb
    penne pasta cooked al dente

  • 4 oz
    priscuitto cut into strips
  • 3 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1
    small diced onion
  • 4 Tbsp
    parmesan or romano cheese
  • 1 c
    heavy cream or half n half
  • 1/2 c
    peas (thawed)
  • 1 can(s)
    italian plum tomatoes with basil
  • ·
    black pepper to taste

How to Make Penne Pasta with Priscuitto Sauce


  1. Saute the priscuitto and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the tomatoes and break them up with a spoon.
  3. Add the peas, cream and pepper.
  4. Cook until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the grated cheese.
  6. Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with more cheese before serving.
