Ingredients

  • 1 pound penne pasta cooked al dente
  • SAUCE
  • 4 ounces priscuitto cut into strips
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 - small diced onion
  • 4 tablespoons parmesan or romano cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half n half
  • 1/2 cup peas (thawed)
  • 1 can italian plum tomatoes with basil
  • - black pepper to taste

How To Make penne pasta with priscuitto sauce

  • Step 1
    Saute the priscuitto and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Add the tomatoes and break them up with a spoon.
  • Step 3
    Add the peas, cream and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Cook until slightly thickened.
  • Step 5
    Add the grated cheese.
  • Step 6
    Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with more cheese before serving.
