    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 can(s)
    (28 oz) whole tomatoes - drained, reserve juice
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/3 c
  • 1/4 c
    fresh basil, or 1 tablespoon dried
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 lb
  • 1 c
    romano cheese

How to Make Penne a la Vodka


  1. Combine the first 8 ingredients and cook until short of a boil. Reduce heat to simmer.
  2. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and add the cooked sauce.
  3. Top with romano cheese or have it to pass around the table.
