- 4 ounces prociutto ham, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes - drained, reserve juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup vodka
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, or 1 tablespoon dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound penne
- 1 cup romano cheese

Step 1Combine the first 8 ingredients and cook until short of a boil. Reduce heat to simmer.

Step 2Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and add the cooked sauce.

Step 3Top with romano cheese or have it to pass around the table.
