  • 1/2 cup acini di pepe or orzo
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon chicken bouillon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, plus more for serving
  • cracked black pepper
  • fresh chives

How To Make pastina

  • Step 1
    Mix the water and chicken bouillon together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  • Step 2
    Add the pasta and let it simmer over medium-low heat until most of the water is absorbed.
  • Step 3
    Break the egg into a bowl and add the Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 4
    While stirring, constantly drizzle in the egg cheese mixture until a creamy texture appears.
  • Step 5
    Serve topped with more Parmesan, cracked black pepper, and chives.
