Ingredients
- 12 ounces radiatore pasta
- 2 tablespoons light olive oil
- 1 pound sweet italian or chicken sausage with herbs (casings removed and crumbled)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 2 (14.5oz) cans petite diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
How To Make pasta, with sausage and cream

Step 1Bring large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Cook pasta following package directions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2Heat olive oil in large, deep skillet, over medium heat. Cook crumbled sausage and pepper flakes (if using), till sausage is evenly browned. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender.

Step 3Stir in petite diced tomatoes, cream, and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens. 8 - 10 minutes.

Step 4Stir in cooked pasta into sauce, heat through. If adding the shredded cheddar cheese, add it now and stir gently until it melts and blends into the sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.
