(1 RATING)
Now I at first did not like pesto because I thought it was pretty icky, lol, but I went to get me a salad at the Whole Foods store and they had this bowtie pasta with pesto and fell in love with it. You can use any kind you like.

- 1/4 cup pine nuts (scant)
- - sea salt
- 4 ounces fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
How To Make pasta with pesto
-
Step 1To make the pesto, place the garlic, pine nuts and a large pinch of sea salt in a blender or food processor and process briefly. Add the basil leaves and process to a paste.
-
Step 2With the motor running, gradually add the oil. Scrape into a bowl and beat in the cheese. Season to taste with salt.

Step 3Bring a large pan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta, return to a boil, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender but still firm to the bite.
