Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta of choice cooked in boiling salted water and drained
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmigiano- reggiano shredded
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- salt and pepper
- shaved parmigiano reggiano for serving
How To Make pasta with creamy buttered pea & cheese sauce

Step 1Add the butter to a pan big enough to hold the pasta. Cook the peas for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour 2/3 cup of heavy cream and bring to a boil and let cook for 3 minutes.

Step 2Add the pasta to the pan and cook 3 minutes. Add the remaining cream and cheese. Cook until cheese melts. Add the nutmeg and taste and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3Serve garnished with shaved Parmesan
