Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 ounces canned anchovies
  • 10 ounces frozen peas
  • 7 ounces good quality tuna, drained
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

How To Make pasta with anchovies, tuna, and peas

  • Step 1
    Add 3 Tbsp butter and olive oil to a large pan. Add the onions and cook for 5 minutes. Add the anchovies and press them with a spoon until they have melted into the onions. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Step 2
    Bring a pot of water to a boil and add salt. When boiling add the spaghetti and cook for 10 minutes. Add the frozen peas and cook 5 more minutes. Drain.
  • Step 3
    While the spaghetti is cooking add the tuna to the onion mixture. Add the heavy cream and simmer. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Add the drained spaghetti and peas to the pan and cook for a couple of minutes. Garnish with the grated Parmesan.
