I make large batches of this sauce and use it for anything that calls for meat ball subs,pizza,chicken cacciatore.I freeze small freezer bags and heat it in the microwave.

stewed tomatoes

tomato sauce
1/2 tsp
black pepper
3 medium
bay leaves
1 large
onion fine dice
3 clove
garlic minced
1 Tbsp
1 1/2 c
1 Tbsp
fresh basil
1 Tbsp
oregano, fresh

How to Make Pasta Sauce


  • 1Saute pepper,onion,garlic over medium heat for about 3 minutes
  • 2In a heavy pot add water tomato sauce and pepper onions and garlic and bring it to a boil.
  • 3Add the basil,oregano,and tomatoes and simmer on low for 45 minutes.
