I wanted something quick and easy that used what I had on hand because I didn’t want to go to the store. I thought about Alfredo but didn’t have Parmesan. I had mixed Italian cheese and the other ingredients and thought about a pot pie. I then decided to make it a pasta dish. This turned out so well. My husband loved it and I did, too. You could do so many variations on this

Ingredients

  • 1 package chopped ham
  • 1 can small peas
  • 1 can diced potatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup cream or half and half
  • 1 box pasta. i use bowtie
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • 1 1/2 cups italian cheese blend
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms

How To Make pasta pot pie

  • Step 1
    Sauté ham in melted butter. Do this while your pasta is cooking.
  • Step 2
    Add drained cans of diced potatoes, peas and sliced mushrooms and sauté with ham
  • Step 3
    Add rosemary and some fresh black pepper
  • Step 4
    Add can of cream of mushroom soup and the cream. Stir well.
  • Step 5
    Add the cheese and stir to melt. Add in drained and cooked pasta. If not creamy enough add some more cream or even chicken broth. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 6
    Serve and enjoy.
