My family loves the pasta and sausage. I love the clean-up. I use the same pot to cook the pasta, cook the sausage and to make the sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta of choice
- 1 pound italian sausage links
- 2 cans tomatoes diced (28oz.)
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 - onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 cup freshly grated cheese
- 3 cups water, divided
How To Make one pot pasta

Step 1Cook pasta al dente, drain and set aside.

Step 2In the same pan, brown and cook sausage using 1 cup water. (Simmer 30 mins.) Remove from pan. Cut sausage links into 2-3inch pieces.

Step 3Using the same pan, saute onions in olive oil until soft. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4Add diced tomatoes, 2 cups water, and seasonings. Cook for 30 minutes.

Step 5Place pasta in large serving bowl. Add half the sauce to the pasta and top with the cooked sausage.

Step 6Serve with grated cheese and the remainder of the sauce.
