one dish macaroni beef
My mom got this recipe from a microwave cooking cookbook back in the '70s. This was one of my favorites as a kid. I make it for my kids and they love it just as much as I did/do!

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup uncooked macaroni
- 1 can tomato sauce, 8oz
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 can kernel corn, 7oz, undrained
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
How To Make one dish macaroni beef

Step 1Crumble ground beef in 2 quart glass casserole and stir in onion.

Step 2Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.

Step 3Drain and stir in remaining ingredients. Recover.

Step 4Microwave on defrost for 30-35 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 5Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired, and enjoy!
