Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sliced scallions or onions
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons burgundy or other red wine
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 ounces medium egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- snipped fresh parsley
How To Make noodle stroganoff

Step 1In hot butter in skillet, saute scallions, garlic and mushrooms until lightly browned.

Step 2Add beef; cook, stirring, until red color disappears.

Step 3Stir in lemon juice, burgundy, consomme, salt and pepper.

Step 4Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.

Step 5Stir in uncooked noodles.

Step 6Cook, covered, 5 minutes, or until noodles are tender.

Step 7Mix in sour cream; heat quickly but do not boil.

Step 8Serve at once, sprinkled with parsley.
