Ingredients For noodle & cabbage casserole

2 Tbspbutter
-
1 lgonion, sliced

3/4 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspcelery seed
-
1/2 tspsugar
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1 lbcabbage, green, chopped
-
2 Tbspwater
-
8 oz. pkgegg noodles, no-yolk variety, cooked & drained
-
1 1/4 cmilk
-
5 lgeggs
-
1/2 cswiss cheese, shredded
How To Make noodle & cabbage casserole

1Melt butter in a lare nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion, salt, celery seed, sugar & pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are golden, 15 - 20 minutes.

2Remove onions from skillet, add cabbage & water; cook, covered, stirring occasionally, until softened & golden around edges.

3Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 2 qt baking dish. Mix cabbage, onions & egg noodles; mix well & place in dish,

4Beat milk & eggs, then stir in cheese. Pour over mixture; cover. Bake 20 minutes. Uncover; bake 20 minutes more or until set.
