my cheesy meatballs and homemade spaghetti sauce
One of the best meatball recipes I have. I usually double the batch and freeze some for parties. They are great as an appetizer to.

Ingredients
- MEATBALLS
- 1/2 pound each ground beef ground pork and ground veal
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup each grated parmesan and grated romano cheese more for serving
- 1 teaspoon each salt and pepper
- 1 medium onion minced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 medium onion minced
- 1/2 cup dry red wine port is good here
- 1 can 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil minced
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make my cheesy meatballs and homemade spaghetti sauce

Step 1For Meatballs Mix all ingredients together and shape into 1 inch balls. Set aside.

Step 2Place the oil in a large skillet or pot. Saute onion and garlic until translucent. Pour in wine and let almost all evaporate. Add remaining ingredients except basil. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 30 minutes.

Step 3Meanwhile sear the meatballs in batches in another skillet. When all are browned place the meatballs in the sauce to let them continue to cook. The sauce is done when the meatballs are no longer pink in middle. Stir in basil

Step 4Cook spaghetti and serve sauce and meatballs on top sprinkled with parmesan cheese
