This was given to my mother after my father's funeral and all the guests loved it. Mrs. Cottom was a dear neighbor who lived across the street in Anderson, Indiana.
Can easily be doubled or tripled for larger crowds.

Ingredients

ground beef
1 c
chopped onion
1 c
chopped celery
1 medium
chopped green pepper
1 med. can(s)
stewed tomatoes
1 c
tomato juice
1/2 lb
noodles, uncooked
salt and pepper

How to Make MRS. COTTOM'S GOULASH

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown meat. Cook onions, celery & green pepper until tender. Combine with meat. Add stewed tomatoes and tomato juice.
  • 2Cook noodles and combine all ingredients.
  • 3Let simmer 1/2 hour OR transfer to baking dish and bake in 300-degree oven for 1/2 hour. May serve with grated cheese topping.
