This was given to my mother after my father's funeral and all the guests loved it. Mrs. Cottom was a dear neighbor who lived across the street in Anderson, Indiana. Can easily be doubled or tripled for larger crowds.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 medium chopped green pepper
  • 1 med. can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1/2 pound noodles, uncooked
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make mrs. cottom's goulash

  • Cooking onion, celery and green pepper
    Step 1
    Brown meat. Cook onions, celery & green pepper until tender. Combine with meat. Add stewed tomatoes and tomato juice.
  • Step 2
    Cook noodles and combine all ingredients.
  • Adding vegetables to meat mixture
    Step 3
    Let simmer 1/2 hour OR transfer to baking dish and bake in 300-degree oven for 1/2 hour. May serve with grated cheese topping.
