Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons fine chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cans tuna
- 1/4 pound cashew nuts
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1 - 5 oz. can chow mein noodles
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- - few drops of hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
How To Make mom's tuna casserole

Step 1Melt butter, add onion and brown. add flour and cook for a couple minutes. Add milk slowly whisking until thickened. Add remaining ingredients. Except noodles. If more liquid is needed add chicken broth.

Step 2Turn into a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake 375* for 20-25 minutes. Top with chow mein noodles before serving.
