Ingredients
- - salt
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- - juice & zest from 2 lemons
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmigiano-reggiano, grated
- handfull - parsley, chopped
- 12 - basil leaves, chopped
How To Make *** mom's lemon spagetti ***

Step 1Cook spaghetti, 5 minutes. Drain, reserving pasta water.

Step 2In skillet, oil, garlic, pepper flakes, cook 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, 1 ladle full of pasta water, cream. Saute until bubbles. Add lemon zest & 1/2 of cheese, parsley, basil & salt to taste. Add pasta to sauce mixture, cook 5 minutes to warm. Serve with remaining cheese on top.
