Mom's Hamburger Stroganoff
1 lblean ground beef
1/2 cchopped onions
·dash of black pepper
1 can(s)cream of mushroom soup
1 smallcan sliced mushrooms, optional
1 csour cream
·hot buttered noodles for 4-6 servings
How to Make Mom's Hamburger Stroganoff
- In a large skillet brown and crumble beef. Drain grease from pan. Add onion and cook until it is tender, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients except sour cream and noodles and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare noodles according to package directions. When beef mixture is ready stir in sour cream and heat thoroughly without boiling. Serve over noodles.
Optional garnish: Sprinkle a bit of paprika over the dish before serving.
