How to Make Mom's Baked Macaroni & Cheese
- In medium saucepan melt margerine over low heat and mix in flour. Add milk, increase to medium heat until the milk is hot. minutes until the sauce is thickened.
- Add shredded cheese by handfuls stirring constantly with whisk until all of the cheese is melted. Stir and heat an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add elbows and stir thoroughly then pour into a 9X13 casserole dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs or grated parmesan on top if desired. Bake covered for 20-25 minutes in 350 degree oven.
