  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, well drained
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2/3 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (warmed to room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons torn or chopped fresh basil

How To Make marry me chicken pasta

  • Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the pasta and cook al dente. Drain well in a colander.
  • Step 2
Meanwhile, generously salt and pepper the chicken. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken until cooked through. Remove the chicken to a plate, leaving any fat in the skillet.
  • Step 3
Reduce the heat to low and add the sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Step 4
Add the chicken broth and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Slowly stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 5
Add the chicken, pasta, and basil to the skillet and toss to combine.
  • Step 6
Garnish with more basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
