This one pot wonder has been a family favorite of ours for a long time! In the north east I have heard this is often referred to as "American Chop Suey". Whatever you name it, we call it delicious, simple, comfort food!

  • 1 lb
    ground beef, extra lean
  • 1 medium
    onion, died
  • 1/2 medium
    green pepper, diced
  • 2- 14.5 oz can(s)
    tomatoes, diced
  • 1 8oz. can(s)
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne (more if you like it spicy!)
  • 2 c
    elbow macaroni, uncooked

How to Make Macaroni Goulash


  1. Add onion, green pepper and ground beef to dutch oven on med/high until beef is browned. Add all of remaining ingredients. Simmer on med/low 15-20 minutes.
