  • CHEESY SAUSAGE BALLS
  • 4 lb
    sweet Italian sausages, casings removed
  • 2 c
    biscuit baking mix
  • 2 c
    Mexican cheese blend
  • 2
    banana peppers, chopped
  • BAKED MACARONI
  • 1 lb
    dry elbow macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt mixed with black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 c
    shredded colby jack cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    panko bread crumbs

How To Make baked macaroni with cheesy sausage balls

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

    To make the cheesy sausage balls, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Form into 1-inch balls.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1/2-inch apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.

    To make the baked macaroni, cook the macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.

    Heat margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the flour, sea salt/black pepper, ground cumin and crushed red pepper flakes until smooth; gradually add evaporated milk and heavy cream.

    Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, cubed cream cheese and shedded colby jack and sharp cheddar cheese until melted.

    Remove from heat. Add cooked macaroni and sausage balls into cheese mixture; stir well until combined.

    Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
