  • 2 c
    uncooked macaroni
  • 1/2 c
    butter, cubed
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    velveeta, cubed
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 c
    shredded mild or sharp cheddar cheese

How to Make Macaroni and Cheese, Sandy (new)


  1. Cook macaroni to package directions. Meanwhile: in large saucepan melt butter, stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk. Bring to boil, cook and stir 2 minutes. Reduce heat. Stir in sour cream, velveeta, parmesan, salt, mustard and pepper until cheese is melted and smooth. Drain macaroni and toss in cheddar cheese.
  2. Toss into greased 3 quart baking dish. Add velveeta sauce and mix well. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
